R&D snapshots
suspended hybrid mk1 Early proto with very flexible chainstays and a milled aluminium forkcrown clamping steerer and forkblades. The headset was installed upside down, and the steerer was brazed to the stem.
suspended hybrid mk2 Note the high pivot which gave lots of traction, but unfortunately also lots of biopace-effect.
suspended hybrid mk3 The Featherbed rear carrier design is already appearent, as is an early version of the rear suspension. The swingarm frontsuspension had far to much (150%) antidive (braking at tree-top level). Pity, because on bumps such a fork is superior. The frametubes have grown somewhat since!
